I have known Dr Ronelle Joubert since 2015. First as a counselor and life coach and then she became my mentor as I studied through Perspective Training College. Dr Joubert assisted me during her counseling sessions through the toughest traumatic experiences I experienced since birth. Because of her sessions, my life changed for the best. The impact she had in my life during the most excruciating moments will never be forgotten.

The weekend workshop was a personal favourite of the many years I have attended. Each workshop has been very informative and well presented with interactivity encouraged; and has been worthy of rave reviews. This time we learned how to apply some new tools by experiencing them firsthand as your counsellees. It wasn't only that great information being taught to me, but was instead information that became part of me - that will not be easily lost from memory.

Herewith our review: – On 3 November 2020 at 18h40 as it was getting dark, my wife and I experienced an armed attack on us at our home in a wildlife estate on the Olifants River. We managed to survive the attack and although people has advised us to obtain trauma debriefing, we thought we’ll manage – because we’re already “advanced in age” 🤔and won’t need it. After about 2 weeks we met Ronelle in her office for the first of six meetings of trauma debriefing. We’ll never forget this first meeting, it was all new to us and we didn’t know what to expect. At the end of the meeting we wished it could have gone on for longer, and on our way home we were very excited and couldn’t wait for the next meeting in 8 days time. Ronelle is not only highly qualified and experienced in her field, but she is also a child of God who has blessed her to help people. After the attack we were immediately aware of the fact that we survived with the help and grace of God. We experienced quite a number of blank areas of what were stored in our memories. In the period of 2 weeks before we went to see Ronelle, we struggled to understand what really happened to us because of the blank areas, and we decided to get help. We could not have asked for a better person to help us – or rather God has sent us to the person He wanted to use in this regard. In the end we have spent 6 sessions of trauma debriefing with Ronelle and after every session we were as excited as after the first session to meet with her again. God has blessed her and through her blessing (received from God) we received an overflow of His blessings as well. With in depth discussions, prayers, and working hard to get as much detail as possible of the incident in order to reconstruct the scenario that took place at our house on 3 November 2020, Ronelle could fill in the blank areas for both of us. The incident of that evening was not just an armed (physical) attack on us, it was a spiritual warfare and we were just in a small way involved in this. The Holy Spirit and angels were around us, involved in a war with evil, and at the same time protecting us, saving our lives. Without going into detail both my wife and I would have been shot that night, were it not for the involvement of the Holy Spirit and angels. Shooting at me (with my wife standing behind me) from a distance of 2 and a half meter and missing us both, trying to shoot me after I pushed him into the pool, but the pistol jammed, shooting at me from the side of the pool while I was on the veranda 10 meters away, and missed again because I fell flat on my face on the tiled floor, and the bullet went over my body – and not into my back; are all evidence of the work of the Holy Spirit and angels that night! We can’t thank God enough for protecting us from evil that night and using Ronelle to help us with trauma debriefing. From the day of the incident I was struggling with being over cautious and over protecting towards my wife, especially because I’ve injured my ligaments in my knee and a muscle in my upper leg when I fell on the veranda, and I felt like a cripple. Ronelle helped me to work through that and although I’m not ready yet, I’ve come a long way and my leg is now healing much quicker. Ronelle has also helped us to understand that the incident taught us that God through the Holy Spirit is with us daily and has still a plan for our lives. Yes, He still wants to use us to work for Him and we will serve Him till the end of our days. We recommend Ronelle highly as a counsellor for trauma debriefing/counselling. God is with her and He blesses her.

“I was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar and obsessive compulsive behaviours, due to trauma at an early age. All my life I struggled with extreme moods, unstable relationships, impulsiveness and self-destructive behaviours, which was difficult to treat. Dear Ronelle, Thank you so much for your invaluable help and guidance. When I first came to you I thought I was the only one in the world with the issues that confronted me. However, after just 3 coaching sessions I had a completely different perspective and a world of newfound confidence. Your combination of empathy and theory was amazing because it has given me new insight into how our subconscious mind works and this has benefited me in many ways… well beyond the concerns that initially troubled me. I am happy to report that everything is back to normal and I am putting your guidance to work every day.

Ronelle is a wonderful lady who has the ability to make you laugh when you’re in the middle of a rather dreary therapy session. She is full of wisdom and helps you to figure out solutions to problems without spoon-feeding them to you. She makes you work and think, thus making the feeling of finding a solution even more satisfying. She saved my mental health because without her I would have been in a terrible state of mind. I have recommended her services to others and will continue to do so for as long as need be. I am grateful to have her in my life

Dear Ronelle, You have truly been a guardian angel sent from God to save me. I came to you broken and lost, completely in despair with plans of how it would be best to end my life because I simply didn’t think I could go on any longer, the weight had just got too much to bare. I was struggling with addictions and childhood sexual abuse – the full facts of this I wasn’t even aware of when I first met you. Throughout our time together I have found myself again through God, nothing short of a miracle has taken place to enable the breakthrough that I have had through our sessions together. The tools you have enabled me with, your approach and all the homework – there was A LOT! Have all been vital parts of ensuring that I came through this journey. It’s been far from easy, I’ve been on the biggest emotional roller coaster I’ve ever experienced and I know that I still have a lot to work on and that will probably be the way for the rest of my life as a survivor but the fact is now I have learnt to forgive and I’ve been set free. I’ve learnt to forgive the person who assaulted me, my mum, my dad and myself. I now know I have a purpose in life and it’s to live my life, for myself through God following the path he has created for me and that feels amazing. I started my therapy journey with Ronelle Joubert in the month of May 2014, and was it an eye opener for me! I could see and experience that I had a lot to learn from her. It was my first time that I received any type of therapy and therefore I didn’t know what to expect at first. I always refer a person to Ronelle who needs guidance in life. She can be trusted with your secrets and your life-happenings. Ronelle was excellent in showing me how to transform my thoughts and I learnt from her that if it was not for the cracks in my life then I also would not see the light.
